Install, then put the story where you can see it

Android is the live app. The redesigned iPhone and iPad build is in TestFlight, for beta parents, with a WhatsApp group for feedback. A TV app pairs with a QR code.

Android

  1. Open Google Play from the button. If the link is still a placeholder, you will remain on this page.
  2. Install Hey Minie and open it. The home screen shows Minie, a brown myna.
  3. Choose a language: English, Hindi, Telugu or Kannada. Open a story. The Red Raincoat is one example title.
  4. Let your child listen, then ask a question out loud.
  5. Open Kurma with the fingerprint or password when you want the parent view. TODO: confirm the exact label in the current Android build.
Get on Android

iPhone and iPad beta

  1. Install Apple's TestFlight app.
  2. Open the Hey Minie TestFlight invite from the button below.
  3. Install the redesigned build. This is the beta, not a public store release.
  4. Use the same story steps as Android. TODO: confirm where child lock and Kurma sit in this build.

Beta parents use a WhatsApp group to send feedback. The invite URL lives in the same config file.

TV pairing

  1. Open the Hey Minie TV app so the QR code is on screen. TODO: which television stores and the exact on-screen label.
  2. On the phone, scan that code from Hey Minie. TODO: where the scanner sits on Android and in TestFlight.
  3. The point is to put the story on the television and keep the phone with the adult.
