A practical hour for kids aged 3 to 10

· For parents

Indian parents ask what to do with the hour that usually becomes a phone. Here is a plan that keeps the child speaking, without a made-up limit.

The hour is real. Dinner is late, the other child needs a bath, or you are in a car between classes. A phone fills that hour easily. The guilt arrives after, not before. Hey Minie is not a sermon about that hour. It is one way to make the hour active: the child listens, speaks and chooses, and the story ends.

Do not borrow a number you have not read

Public-health pages for young children talk about sedentary time, sleep and an adult nearby. Read the current note from a source you trust, then decide your house rule in daylight. This article will not turn someone else's number into your rule, and it will not call Hey Minie a no-screen product. Minie uses a screen. The child is supposed to do something with it.

Four parents, four hours

  • You need twenty minutes to cook. Put one story on, stay in earshot, and let them ask one question. That is breathing room. It is not a babysitter and it does not replace you.
  • You hand the phone over in traffic. Name the story before you hand it over. A child-lock mode can keep the session inside Hey Minie until you unlock it.
  • You will not leave a child in an open chat. Kurma, the parent section, is separate and fingerprint-locked. What is stored, for how long, and whether voice is used to train models is still a TODO on the privacy page. Do not accept a vague 'safe' from us.
  • You already choose what they watch. You will care whether the story is any good, and whether their answer changes what happens next. Try one story, such as The Red Raincoat, and ask them what they chose.

A week you can actually keep

Two story nights. One night that is a person, a grandparent or you, with no app. One night that is a named video you chose, then closed. The other nights are yours. The screen-time alternatives guide is the shorter checklist. There is no fixed list price. Early access is a pricing experiment, and the founding-families figure stays a placeholder in config until you change it.
